TEKOTE, a care brand created by hair artist Tetsuya Yamakata, has partnered with Cohana to create a special set designed to support the flow of handcraft.

1. TEKOTE Hand Cream (MULTI CLAY SMOOTH)

A hand cream that gently cares for hands engaged in handcraft.

Its non-greasy formula and smooth, fast-absorbing texture allow for an immediate return to needlework without waiting.

One of its most distinctive features is its ease of use—the cream leaves no greasy feel even right after application, allowing you to return to needlework and other handwork without pause. This unique texture comes from montmorillonite, a natural clay sourced in Yamagata Prefecture.

Formed over time from volcanic ash in the soil of Yamagata, this clay is known for its remarkable ability to retain moisture. Drawing on years of research by the Montmorillonite Science Laboratory, this natural property is carefully utilized to create a light veil of hydration on the skin. It helps maintain moisture while helping to remove anything unwanted.

What sets it apart is its “Invisible Glove” sensation. Its unique, non-greasy texture absorbs smoothly into the skin, helping protect it from external aggressors. Enriched with plant-derived squalane, shea butter, and olive fruit oil, it delivers deep hydration to the stratum corneum, leaving hands supple and beautifully conditioned.

2. Waxed Canvas Accessory Pouch – Irodori Check Pattern

The outer fabric features a refined interpretation of TEKOTE’s signature lattice pattern, also used in its packaging. The inside is made from durable waxed canvas.

The pouch is highly versatile, adapting to different uses with ease. By fastening a snap button inside, it becomes a compact pouch that is easy to carry. When unfastened, it becomes a self-standing case for small items. The outer flap can also be extended to store longer tools such as crochet hooks.

The pouch is designed to fit inside the Waxed Canvas Tool Tote, where it can be used as a divider, much like the Canvas Pouch, helping to make better use of the available space.

To preserve the material's inherent beauty, we use fabric that has not been excessively bleached. Small brown or black specks may be visible in the fabric; these are natural cotton flecks, a unique characteristic of unbleached materials. Building on the refined techniques of danjiri float carving, Maeda Woodcarving Studio not only responds to each customer’s request, but also adds its own “Maeda touch +α,” creating works that go beyond expectations.

At the heart of their philosophy is the company motto “Chigyo Keta,” meaning to learn, put into practice, and use that experience for the happiness of others. This spirit is carefully passed down to apprentices.

With the aim of passing on Japan’s proud woodcarving culture to the next generation and to the world, each carving created by Mr. Maeda, a master danjiri carver, continues to move and inspire people today.

If any redness, swelling, itching, irritation, depigmentation (white spots, etc.), or darkening occurs during or after use, discontinue use immediately and consult a dermatologist or healthcare provider.
Due to the delicate formula using natural ingredients and natural clay, moisture may appear, or there may be changes in color, scent, or texture, but this does not affect product quality.

Waxed Canvas Accessory Pouch – Irodori Check Pattern

This product is made of waxed canvas. When folded, the paraffin coating may crack and turn white, and lines known as “chalk marks” may appear on the surface.
Waxed canvas has a firm texture and a slight wax-like scent at first, but with use, it will gradually soften and the scent will fade.
For surface dirt, gently wipe the area with a slightly damp cloth, or use a white eraser to remove marks.
For oil-based stains (such as fingerprints), use a soft brush with diluted mild detergent to gently clean the area.
To maintain the wax coating, we recommend avoiding washing the product.

If overall cleaning is necessary, gently hand wash the product. Please note that the texture and characteristics of the wax coating will be reduced, but the canvas will develop a softer, more comfortable feel.
For dirt on the lattice pattern fabric, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth.
Do not open or close the snap button roughly, as this may cause damage.
The tag is made of genuine leather and may slightly stretch or shrink.
